Northside Cycles is a small independent bike shop located just north of the Melbourne CBD in North Melbourne.
The store stocks a range of product that will cater to the commuting, touring and family leisure customers.
The store has been operating for a little over 10 years and has a reputation for offering high-quality service, well priced products and quick turnaround workshop services.
While the store doesn’t actively seek reviews, the store has maintained a Google rating of 4.9/5 stars for all the 10 years and has never engaged any fixers to manufacture that result.

Current Roles Available
Experienced Bicycle Mechanic – Full Time – Start August/September 2026
At least 2 years previous experience in a full-time role in a similar commercial bicycle workshop essential.
Work days – Tuesday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm
Responsible for – yourself and your own work, no supervision of others expected
Primary Tasks – Booked workshop jobs (assessments/estimates, job completion), on the spot jobs, bike builds, quality control of other team members work. Keeping workshop clean and tidy
Other tasks – support retail floor when store gets busy and when other team members are on breaks.
Minimum Pay Rate – General Retail Award – Level 3
Retail Sales – Casual – Start January 2027
Customer service experience preferred, but not essential.
Work days – Negotiable, but Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm plus one other day preferred
Responsible for – yourself and your own work, no supervision of others expected
Primary Tasks – Customer supervision and assistance, processing sales, receiving workshop jobs, restocking shop floor and keeping store clean and tidy
Other tasks – new bike builds, puncture repairs, workshop schedule maintenance.
Minimum Pay Rate – General Retail Award – Level 3
